I'm Michael, the one at the bench.
I got into vintage appliances and automobiles largely thanks to my upbringing in the Motor City. Detroit and Michigan aren't just known for cars; they built the appliances that have filled people's homes for over a century. They honestly don't make them like they used to, and that's why I've been a collector, repairer, and appraiser of vintage equipment for years now.
My latest project: a 1948 Frigidaire Master Series MJ-7, part of the postwar no-frills workhorse lineup.

Every verdict is a signed PDF: identification, fair value range from sold comps, a repair-vs-replace recommendation, and safety notes. Reports are informed estimates, not formal appraisals, and not safety inspections.
