Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to provide valuations, process payments, and improve the Services:
- Intake information you provide: your name, email address, photos of your item, item details (brand, model, serial number, condition notes), your city and state, and your goal for the item. For slot machines and other gambling devices, your U.S. state is required so your report can address ownership law in your state.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We receive your name, email, and order details; we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data: standard server logs and site analytics via Google Analytics 4 (integrated through our GoDaddy-managed WordPress hosting): pages visited, referral source, approximate location derived from IP, and device/browser type. Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy; you can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- To research, prepare, verify, and deliver the valuation report you purchased
- To communicate with you about your order (missing photos, clarifications, delivery)
- To process payments and refunds
- To improve our content and services using aggregate, non-identifying usage data
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your photos or item details publicly.
- We do not send marketing email unless you opt in.
Only trusted processors, under their own contractual and legal obligations, and only as needed to run the Services:
- Stripe: payment processing
- Payhip: checkout and delivery for orders placed on our Payhip store
- GoDaddy: website hosting and form handling (WPForms)
- Email providers: order communication and report delivery
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
The site uses cookies necessary for it to function, analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 (see Section 1), and our outbound product links use redirect links (Pretty Links) that count clicks in aggregate. Some links on our content pages are affiliate links; the affiliate network may set its own cookies when you click, as disclosed next to those links. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We keep order records (intake details, photos, and the delivered report) as long as needed for customer support, legal, and tax purposes. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7); we will delete what we are not legally required to retain.
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing legal@vintageverdict.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We honor these rights for all customers, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where applicable. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
The Services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard security measures, including TLS encryption in transit and access controls on order data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you provide information at your own risk.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the latest revision; continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
